Lvivska Brewery

Lvivska Brewery was established in 1715 by monks, at the request of Count Stanisław Potocki. From that time on, this enterprice is one of Lviv’s highlights and is considered a part of its identity, always representing Lviv in the best light throughout its growth.

As early as in the middle of the 19th century, the brewery made it to the best three breweries of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and became the largest brewing enterprise in the region. During the Soviet period, the company turned into the Lviv State-Owned Food Production Company “Kolos”, which comprised five breweries across Western Ukraine. In 1993, the company was privatized and became the Open Joint-Stock Company “Incorporated Enterprise Kolos”.

It began cooperating with BBH Ukraine in 1999. That moment marked a new stage of development for Lvivska Brewery: over $35 million was invested into the plant modernization. The brewing technology is also being constantly improved, to align the quality of the product with the highest global standards.

The output capacity of Lviv Brewery is about 208 million liters. The plant employs more than 250 people.

Year 2020 marked an anniversary for Lvivska Brewery; the oldest brewing plant turned 305.
